carl craigs creation of angel found its way onto the second installment of darkness, released 2005. observers of carls music declares this era to have been the strongest material since earlier tempered psyche / bfc classics. now reborn by the crafting hands of jerome sydenham and detroit native keith kemp, we enthusiastically introduceà guilty pleasures debut release, carl craig - angel remixes --- jerome sydenham: born and raised in ibadan, nigeria to an english father and jamaican mother, he was schooled in his teens in england before migrating to new york city in the early 80s. sydenhams work today is largely influenced by the cultural diversity of his upbringing and has echoes of a musical history that spans indigenous african and contemporary western music. during the mid 80s he became involved in the underground dance music scene both as a dj and a promoter. in 1986 he threw a successful weekly party in philadelphia and by 1987 he had a residency at the legendary nells in nyc. --- keith kemp: keith kemp has been a dj in and around the detroit area for the last 10 years, primarily focused on fusing fragmented bits of the detroit techno blueprint all over the dance floor. through various residencies, dj sets, and live performances, he has been on a constant personal journey within electronic music ranging from performing at the detroit electronic music festival to movie scores and sound design. since 2001, keith has found himself involved with the operations of the ferrispark record label as well as several releases on various detroit labels reaching all corners of the world. as a life-long connoisseur of music, his dj sets can range from glitch funk, industrial, hip-hop and jungle
